Mental Health Awareness Month
May 01, 2026
Mental Health Awareness Month is a month dedicated to increasing awareness and education about mental health, the realities of living with a mental illness, and strategies to live mentally well.
There are many ways to support your own mental health and the well-being of those around you. Read on to explore resources, practical ways to care for yourself, and opportunities to get involved in supporting mental health in our community throughout the month of May.
Support your Own Mental Health
Join The Challenge
The Minding Your Mental Health Challenge calendar includes a daily activity to support your mental health. These are all small things that can have a BIG impact. So as we start the month of May, invite your family and friends, and join us to prioritize mental health for the next thirty-one days (and hopefully beyond)!

Daily Affirmations
Throughout May, we invite you to join us in a daily affirmation practice. Each affirmation is designed to encourage reflection, support self-expression, and help you prioritize your mental well-being.

What are the benefits of daily affirmations?
Daily affirmations are mantras that help shape the way you think, feel, and respond to your day. When you intentionally repeat positive, supportive statements to yourself, you begin to interrupt negative thought patterns and replace them with healthier ones.
Over time, affirmations can build confidence, reduce stress, and create a more compassionate inner voice. They don’t magically fix everything, but they do help shift your mindset so you approach challenges with more resilience and self-trust. Even on difficult days, repeating affirmations can ground you, reminding you of your worth and helping you move forward with intention.
How to Participate:
- Bookmark this page and check back daily for the affirmation.
- Follow us on Instagram (@HopeWayCLT) for daily affirmations in our Instagram Stories.
We can’t wait to share this journey with you!
