HopeWay utilizes various evidence-based therapies, meaning research has proven that the therapies are effective in treating mental health conditions. We include therapeutic modalities like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Cognitive Processing Therapy, Prolonged Exposure Therapy, EMDR, Family Based Therapy and more. Depending on the individual's diagnosis and symptoms one type of therapy may be more appropriate than another. Individual therapy allows the licensed therapist and client to determine which therapeutic modality would be most appropriate to achieve the client's identified goals.
In all levels of care, clients are exposed to several different modalities in a group setting which allows clients the opportunity to learn various skills to manage their mental health symptoms. For example, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy focuses on how our thoughts, emotions and behaviors are connected and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy focuses on emotional regulation. In addition, we offer groups that focus on anxiety management, self-awareness, healthy relationships, gender & sexuality, substance use & recovery, as well as a host of integrative therapies.
