Ren Brown is a Licensed Professional Counselor and works as a Primary Therapist at HopeWay. Ren is responsible for leading groups and working with clients through individual therapy. Their holistic and integrative approach to treatment incorporates evidence-based modalities informed by neuroscience – such as EMDR and somatic psychotherapies – to assist with nervous system regulation and manage undesirable symptoms. In utilizing the brain/body connection, Ren has effectively worked with individuals who have been impacted by incarceration and social injustice, complex and relational trauma, eating disorders and body dysmorphia, substance and alcohol use, co-occurring disorders, dissociation, depression and anxiety, and grief.
Ren is dedicated to acknowledging and celebrating all the identities and abilities, both marginalized and privileged, of their clients by meeting each person where they are in their growth process and offering a compassionate and collaborative space to further grow and achieve the individual's goals. Ren creates a safe, non-judgmental space to help clients discover their wants and needs and increase a deeper sense of connection to themselves.
Outside of work, Ren enjoys spending time with her family, learning and spending quality time with friends.
