Robert Herrington, MSML

Before coming to HopeWay, Robert spent 26 years as a pilot for American Airlines and served 30 years in the Navy and Navy Reserves, retiring at the rank of Captain.  Outside of his professional life, he has supported multiple non-profit organizations as an advisory board member, donor, and fundraiser, and he has long had a passion for Veterans affairs. 

He earned a BA from The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and recently earned a Master’s Degree in Management and Leadership from Western Governors University.  A native of Chapel Hill, Robert has traveled throughout the world and has lived in many cities in the United States.  He and his wife now live in Raleigh and they have one son in college at UNC.

In his free time, he enjoys golf, boating, and watching UNC Tarheel sports.
