HopeWay in the Community
September 20, 2017
In a continuous effort to build awareness and acceptance of mental health through education, many of our professional clinical and medical staff have taken HopeWay's message into the community through various outreach opportunities.
Most recently, Justin Perry, one of HopeWay's primary therapists, was asked to present the key note address at the annual Prescription of Hope with Mitchell's Fund Luncheon on September 20th. Mitchell's Fund supports the social needs of children and families facing the crisis of a life threatening pediatric illness. The heart of Mitchell's Fund is pediatric cancer, but they also focus on pediatric mental health issues.
Mitchell's Fund approached Justin after hearing an interview he gave on the mental health and substance abuse crisis in the Charlotte community. With over 12 years of experience working with children, adolescents, and adults who have experienced trauma, and/or are managing mental health and substance use disorders, Justin is well equipped to educate the community on this issue.
