As the Director of Philanthropy, Emily oversees HopeWay’s fundraising program that supports HopeWay’s ability to deliver extraordinary mental health care, provide financial assistance to clients in need, and offer community education to raise awareness and reduce stigma.

With over a decade of experience in fundraising, marketing and volunteer management, Emily brings a dynamic and relationship-focused approach to philanthropy with a passion for fostering community and wellness. Her expertise spans individual and corporate giving, grant-writing, special event management, and volunteer engagement, making her a versatile leader in the non-profit sector.

Before joining the HopeWay team in 2023, Emily spent nearly eight years at Ronald McDonald House Charities of Greater Charlotte, where she served in various fundraising and marketing roles, most recently as Director of Development. Prior to RMHC of GC, Emily worked in the philanthropy office at A Child’s Place of Charlotte.

Emily is a native Charlottean and graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a BA in Psychology. Outside of work, she enjoys traveling with family and friends, walking with her dog, and listening to podcasts. An avid reader, she welcomes any book suggestions and invitations to connect on Goodreads.
