The Panel Will Include:
Moderator - Justin Johnson, MD, DFAPA, Director of Veteran & First Responder Services
Dr. Johnson is a board-certified psychiatrist and serves as HopeWay’s Director of Veteran and First Responder Services. He brings deep expertise in men’s mental health, PTSD, TBI, mood and anxiety disorders, and military and Veteran mental health, informed by both his clinical work and his service as a Command Psychiatrist in the U.S. Army Reserve. Dr. Johnson is a nationally recognized leader and speaker, a Distinguished Fellow of the American Psychiatric Association, and a 2023 Charlotte Business Journal “40 Under 40” honoree.
Panelist - Reginald Johnson, MD, Adult Psychiatrist
Dr. Reginald W. Johnson II is a board-certified psychiatrist at HopeWay, where he works primarily in the adult mental health programs. He brings expertise in interventional psychiatry, substance use disorders, eating disorders, and complex co-occurring psychiatric and medical conditions. Dr. Johnson is deeply committed to mentorship, education, and evidence-based care delivered with empathy and respect. He is a recipient of the Hiram B. Curry Humanitarian Award and a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society.
Panelist - Patrick Balsley, Founder of Sana House, Sana Counseling, and Sana Recovery Foundation
Patrick Balsley is the founder of Sana House, Sana Counseling, and Sana Recovery Foundation, organizations created to address substance use and mental health. He has spent over a decade working in the behavioral health field and has been in his own substance use and mental health recovery for nearly 15 years. His work focuses on building thoughtful, ethically grounded systems of care that support sustainable recovery for individuals and their families.
Panelist - Sheldon Maye, Founder of Financial Butlers, Former Client
Sheldon Maye is the Founder of Financial Butlers, a financial coaching and education company that empowers individuals to achieve clarity, control, and financial freedom. Drawing on over 20 years of experience as an HR executive, strategy consultant, and nonprofit director, he now provides high-touch, judgment-free guidance to help clients reach their goals. Sheldon’s career reflects a deep commitment to social impact and education, and he continues to invest heavily in his mental health and education since his time at HopeWay.

Ace the Stigma was founded in 2023 in memory of Chuck Reiney who died by suicide at the age of 53. He was a husband, father, avid tennis player, and former president of the Olde Providence Tennis Club in Charlotte, North Carolina.
The mission of Ace the Stigma is to defeat the stigma surrounding mental health by raising funds, increasing awareness, and supporting individuals struggling with mental illness.
