Financial Specialist

Department: HopeWay at Oakhurst Commons - Adolescent Mental Health & Adolescent and Young Adult Eating Disorder Treatment


  • High School Diploma/GED Required. Associates or Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Experience working in a mental/behavioral health field. Experience working with adolescents and their families preferred.

Position Overview:

The Financial Specialist will assist the Admissions Team, clients, and the Financially Responsible Parties to facilitate the entire revenue cycle.


  • Managing accounts receivable.
  • Communicating costs of services associated with care, as well as payment options to ensure that the clients/financially responsible parties understand costs associated with services.
  • Communicating with the financially responsible party throughout treatment.
  • Receiving and processing payments for self-pay/deductibles.
  • Discussing financial assistance options with clients.
  • Obtaining and evaluating financial information submitted for financial assistance.
  • Promoting, establishing, and maintaining open and effective communication with clients and staff members.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
